Dr. Robert Meaux is a Houston-based historian and writer. He has served on the board for the Humble Museum since 2013, and now serves as the Executive Director of the museum. He has held leadership roles in regional historical organizations, including the Harris County Historical Commission. Over a 36-year career in education, he worked as a teacher, administrator, and university instructor. He holds degrees in history, music education, educational leadership, and computer science from the University of Houston, University of Houston-Clear Lake, and Lone Star College. Meaux has authored multiple local history books, including Images of America: Humble, the Humble History Tour, The Old Humble Cemetery, Images of America: Around Aldine, and the Humble History series. He was the author of a long-running newspaper column in the Humble Tribune, and was honored as Citizen of the Year by Partnership Lake Houston for his contributions to preserving the history of the Humble and Lake Houston areas.
